Meet Principal Chivington

Hello! My name is Sarah Chivington, and I am proud to serve as the principal of Valley Elementary. It is truly an honor to support students and families in a school where we lay the foundation for lifelong learning. I am incredibly proud to be a Beavercreek Beaver and to be part of this outstanding community!

The 2026–2027 school year marks my fourth year at Valley and my eleventh year as a school administrator. Prior to joining Beavercreek City Schools, I served as a teacher and later a principal in Huber Heights City Schools, as well as a principal and Director of Special Education in Greenon Local Schools. Before moving into administration, I taught kindergarten, first grade, and Title I reading intervention, and I also worked as an instructional coach for grades K–6. I feel incredibly fortunate that my professional journey brought me to BCS! 

At Valley, we know that each school year brings excitement, growth, and sometimes a few challenges—for both students and families. Our goal is to partner with you to ensure every child has a positive, successful school experience in a place where they feel safe, supported, and valued.

We are proud of the incredible team of teachers and staff at Valley who truly love what they do and care deeply about each student. That positive culture is something you can feel the moment you walk through our doors. Our staff is intentional about building strong relationships, teaching clear expectations, and helping students grow in confidence, responsibility, and a love of learning. Each day, we work to make sure every child feels known, cared for, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
